[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Korea Technology is launching sales of ultraviolet sterilizers.
Korea Technology announced on the 9th that it plans to sell ultraviolet sterilizers that can be used for smartphones and masks starting this month.
First, OEM manufacturing and sales of ultraviolet sterilizers will begin this month. The company plans to expand its product lineup with various functions in the future.
The selling price of the first product is set at around 30,000 KRW. A Korea Technology official explained, "It is cheaper than other products on the market priced between 40,000 and 70,000 KRW, and will be sold both online and offline simultaneously within this month." This product can sterilize using ultraviolet light and can sterilize not only masks but also smartphones, glasses, watches, and earphones.

One thousand units will be donated to citizens in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, where there are many confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), through related organizations. A Korea Technology official said, "We will increase production and sales volumes in the future to increase the amount of donations."
