Amorepacific Provides 208 Billion KRW Support to Partners Affected by COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Amorepacific Group (Chairman and CEO Kyoungbae Suh) announced on the 9th that it will directly support its partners, including franchise stores facing business difficulties due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), with over 8 billion KRW and assist production partners by facilitating payment of 200 billion KRW.
The support plan includes a special product buyback worth 3.2 billion KRW to promote mutual growth with franchise stores such as Aritaum, Innisfree, and Etude. In the direct sales channel, 1.5 billion KRW will be used to maintain counselors' income and support sales activities, and 1.5 billion KRW worth of health functional foods will be provided to strengthen counselors' immunity. Additionally, 2 billion KRW will be spent in various forms, including support for client promotional materials and changes to the collection system.
For supply chain management (SCM) partners, the group plans to ease financial burdens by making early payments or prepayments totaling 200 billion KRW.
Previously, Amorepacific Group provided personal hygiene products such as masks and hand sanitizers free of charge to franchise stores and other partners. Separately, to participate in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and aid recovery efforts, the group also donated cash and in-kind contributions worth a total of 50 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea.
