The spouse of the third confirmed case tests positive, entire family infected... Yangcheon-gu reports a total of 5 COVID-19 cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) announced that all family members of the third confirmed COVID-19 case tested positive, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to five as of the 7th.
The fifth confirmed case is the spouse (male, 55) of the third confirmed case. He received the final positive diagnosis on the afternoon of the 7th and is currently under self-quarantine.
Two family members of the third confirmed case requested specimen testing at the health center's screening clinic on the 6th. The adult child (female, 25) was diagnosed as the fourth confirmed case on the morning of the 7th.
The Yangcheon-gu Health Center has requested hospital bed allocation for the family members who tested positive and plans to transfer them immediately once beds are assigned.
Upon transfer of the additional confirmed cases, the health center's quarantine team and the Mok5-dong Village Love Quarantine Team will conduct immediate disinfection of the confirmed patients' homes, visited locations, and nearby areas.
The movement paths of the confirmed cases will be accurately and promptly disclosed on the Yangcheon-gu website and SNS (blog, Instagram) as soon as the Seoul Metropolitan Government's epidemiological investigation results are available.

Mayor Kim Soo-young of Yangcheon-gu said, “We ask all residents to avoid going out as much as possible and to strictly follow personal hygiene rules such as hand washing, wearing masks, and cough etiquette.” He also stated, “With the additional confirmed COVID-19 cases, we will further strengthen disinfection efforts at multi-use facilities and do our utmost to prevent community spread.”
