Audit Committee Composed of 4 Members, Representative Member Park Seong-yeon Appointed
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Gwangjin District Council (Chairman Go Yang-seok) held the 2nd plenary session of the 231st extraordinary meeting and appointed the 2019 fiscal year settlement inspection committee members.
The settlement inspection committee consists of a total of four members: one district council member, one accountant, and two tax accountants. Representative member Park Seong-yeon was appointed, and private members Kim Myung-cheol (accountant), Song Geun-seop, and Kim Yong-min (tax accountants) were appointed.
On the afternoon of the 6th, the Gwangjin District Council held an appointment ceremony in the chairman’s office in accordance with the "Ordinance on the Appointment and Operation of the Gwangjin District Settlement Inspection Committee." The appointed members will conduct an in-depth inspection of the budget execution results for one year from March 30 to April 28, including revenue and expenditure settlements, bond and debt settlements, property and fund settlements, and treasury settlements, and will produce an inspection opinion by May 31.
After the inspection is completed, the settlement inspection committee submits the inspection opinion report to the Gwangjin District Mayor, who reviews the settlement report and then requests approval of the settlement from the district council.
The Gwangjin District Council plans to give final approval of the settlement after review by the relevant standing committee and the special budget and settlement committee at the 1st regular meeting of the 233rd session scheduled for May 26.
Chairman Go Yang-seok said at the end of the appointment ceremony, “The settlement is an important process to check whether last year’s budget of Gwangjin District was properly executed as originally planned. I hope the committee members will carefully review it based on their expertise and experience and do their best to suggest improvements for next year’s budget formulation.” He added, “The council will also spare no support to ensure the smooth progress of the settlement inspection.”
