OK Savings Bank Volleyball Team Donates 20 Million Won to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] OK Savings Bank Rush & Cash professional volleyball team announced on the 5th that they donated 20 million won to overcome the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis.
This donation will be used in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions through the Community Chest of Korea.
The fundraising, proposed by head coach Seok Jin-wook, was made more meaningful by the voluntary participation of the players.
Head coach Seok Jin-wook said, “Seeing the empty gym due to COVID-19, both the players and I were full of concern. We hope our small kindness will help, and we look forward to the day when we can play splendidly again in a gym filled with cheers from fans.”
Team captain Shim Kyung-seop said, “After hearing Coach Seok’s proposal, all the players gladly accepted. Although it is a small amount, we thought it was a good opportunity to repay the love we received from the fans.”
