Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station Operates 'Fire Facility Illegal Activity Reporting Reward System'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Dongbu Fire Station (Chief Yang Younggyu) announced on the 5th that it will operate the 'Reward System for Reporting Illegal Acts on Fire Facilities' throughout the year.
The reward system is designed to enhance the safety management awareness of building stakeholders and to raise public interest in illegal acts such as the closure of fire facilities.
The reporting targets include six categories: cultural and assembly facilities, sales facilities, transportation facilities, lodging facilities, entertainment facilities, and complex buildings.
Reports can be made if illegal acts such as ▲ causing fire facilities to malfunction or not operate ▲ closing or blocking fire facilities ▲ obstructing evacuation facilities, closing or damaging them are discovered.
Citizens who report illegal acts will receive a reward of 50,000 KRW once upon confirmation of the violation at the site, and if the same person reports more than twice, reward items worth 50,000 KRW will be provided.
Violators of illegal acts will be fined up to 3 million KRW.

Reports of illegal acts can be made by uploading photos of the violations on the fire station's website or through various methods such as mail, fax, or direct visit.
