EY Hanyoung Supports Overcoming COVID-19...Donates 120 Million Won to Daegu Region and Others
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Global accounting consulting firm EY Hanyoung announced on the 5th that it will donate 120 million KRW in cash and in-kind to the Daegu Metropolitan City area, which is struggling due to the spread of the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), as well as to its existing regular sponsorship organizations.
This donation was prepared by Hanmaeumnanumi, a social contribution group composed of EY Hanyoung employees. The donation amounts are 100 million KRW to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea, 10 million KRW to the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 5 million KRW to the social welfare corporation Woorinuri, and 5 million KRW to the Raphael Clinic.
The 10 million KRW donated to the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be used to purchase and deliver quarantine supplies (such as masks) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the Daegu area, in collaboration with Club EOY, a group of entrepreneurs who receive the EY Best Entrepreneur Award selected annually by EY Hanyoung. Separately, Club EOY member entrepreneurs plan to raise additional funds and deliver them to the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Additionally, Woorinuri, which operates counseling and scholarship programs for underprivileged children, and Raphael Clinic, which provides free medical treatment and relief activities for migrant workers, will be supported with quarantine supplies such as masks.
