According to NHK's compilation of announcements from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and local governments, as of 6 p.m. on that day, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Japan, including passengers on the cruise ship "Diamond Princess," is 973.
Among them, 254 are confirmed domestic infections (including Chinese tourists), 705 are cruise ship passengers, and 14 are returnees on charter flights.
