Jeju Province announced on the 2nd that a woman, A (48), who came to Jeju from Daegu, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 and was transferred to a negative pressure room at Jeju National University Hospital.
According to Jeju Province, A began showing symptoms of infection on the 28th of last month. At that time, A experienced nasal congestion and hoarseness.
On the 1st at around 5 p.m., after hearing that her mother living in Daegu was confirmed positive for COVID-19, A voluntarily visited a screening clinic at a hospital in Jeju City and underwent testing.
The province explained that B, who lived with A, currently shows no unusual symptoms but will undergo specimen testing.
A arrived in Jeju at around 5:30 p.m. on the 23rd of last month via a T'way Air flight departing Daegu at 4:45 p.m. the same day.
Afterward, A took a private car driven by her acquaintance B and moved to B's residence in Hamdeok, Jocheon-eup, Jeju City, where she stayed.
