[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) is making every effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through thorough disinfection measures.
On the 28th, the county announced that, anticipating the prolonged duration of COVID-19, it will support over 1,000 multi-use facilities such as restaurants, cafes, lodging businesses, and bathhouses with disinfection supplies to strengthen sanitation efforts.
Disinfection supplies were distributed by public officials and consumer food hygiene inspectors who visited each establishment, providing usage manuals along with the supplies. They also posted COVID-19 prevention promotional materials at business entrances and guided workers to wear masks.
A county official stated, "As COVID-19 prolongs, residents' anxiety is spreading, making disinfection more important than ever. Therefore, it is necessary for business owners to respond with full effort to ensure disinfection is carried out at least once a day."
