Gwangju City Extends Reduced Bus Service Until the 8th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 28th that it will extend the reduction of city bus services during the winter vacation, originally scheduled to be implemented until the 1st of next month, to the 8th of next month due to the one-week delay in the start of elementary, middle, and high schools to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Considering the trend of decreased passengers during the winter vacation period, the city has been operating 878 city buses on 101 routes on weekdays since January 1st, reduced by 121 buses from the original 999. The number of buses will be adjusted to minimize inconvenience to citizens based on changes in city bus passenger trends.
