Jeonbuk Province, Deliberation and Approval of Youth Policy Implementation Plan
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 27th that it held the Jeollabuk-do Youth Policy Committee (co-chairs Woo Beom-gi, Deputy Governor for Political Affairs, and Kim Woong-su, Professor at Hanil Jangsin University) to realize a youth-centered Jeonbuk this year and deliberated and finalized the ‘2020 Youth Policy Implementation Plan’ for youth policies by sector.
The 2020 Youth Policy Implementation Plan is an annual implementation plan based on the Basic Youth Policy Plan (2018?2022), containing 119 projects worth 247.2 billion KRW across five areas: youth jobs and employment, entrepreneurship, culture and leisure, welfare, and governance, to support youth in fulfilling their roles as regional contributors.
Before establishing this implementation plan, Jeonbuk Province identified new projects across all areas of youth life, including jobs, welfare, and culture, and reviewed their policy effects. Among them, 21 projects were concretized as this year’s youth policy implementation plan.
The committee members attending the meeting stated, “The various problems faced by youth are structural issues of society as a whole beyond individual difficulties and are common challenges that all generations must address together. We must continuously discover and promote youth projects so that the youth, who are the main agents of Jeonbuk, can settle down stably.”
