Yeonggwang-gun 'Public Sports Facilities and Youth Center Cheongchun Workshop' Closed
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 27th that it will close major sports facilities and the Youth Center Cheongchun Workshop in the area until COVID-19 subsides to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in the community, following the government's upgrade of the infectious disease crisis alert to 'Severe'.
The sports facilities to be closed include the Sportium sports facilities such as the Yeonggwang Indoor Swimming Pool, which had already been closed, as well as the Yeonggwang Life Sports Park facilities and the indoor gateball courts in the towns and townships.
The county is informing residents of the closures through the website, text messages, and banner postings to minimize confusion and inconvenience for citizens using the sports facilities.
In addition, the county temporarily closed the Youth Center Cheongchun Workshop starting from the 26th.
The Youth Center's self-development support program "Pouring Oil on Passion," operated at Cheongchun Workshop, was scheduled to start on the 2nd of next month but has been tentatively postponed.
Cheongchun Workshop is strengthening overall facility disinfection and quarantine measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and plans to adjust the extension of the closure depending on the trend of the outbreak.
