[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) received a donation of 1,000 sterilizing cleansers from singer Chaeyeon on the 26th at the district office's planning situation room.
Singer Chaeyeon stated, "I hope to prevent the local spread of COVID-19 and avoid additional infections," adding, "I spent my school days in Gwangjin-gu and my agency is located here, so I decided to donate with the desire to overcome these difficult times together with my neighbors."
The donated sterilizing cleansers will be used for disinfecting activities in local multi-use facilities and will be delivered to medical institutions and vulnerable residents who need quarantine disinfection supplies.
Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "The donated sterilizing cleansers will be a great help to vulnerable groups who have difficulty securing quarantine supplies," and added, "Gwangjin-gu will mobilize all its administrative capabilities to ensure an early overcoming of COVID-19."
