SK Supports COVID-19 Spread Prevention with 5 Billion Won... 100,000 Masks to Daegu and Gyeongbuk
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] SK Group announced that it will provide 5 billion KRW in cash and 400 million KRW worth of in-kind donations to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and support damage relief.
The SV Committee under the SK Supex Council held an emergency meeting on the 26th regarding COVID-19 and decided to support 5 billion KRW at the group level, which was delivered to the Community Chest of Korea.
SK Group, together with the Community Chest of Korea, will provide daily necessities to the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, designated as special management zones due to COVID-19 damage. This is intended for vulnerable groups such as orphanages, nursing homes, and those under self-quarantine.
Additionally, medical supplies such as protective suits will be provided for medical volunteer workers and quarantine personnel in the area.
SK Siltron, located in Gumi, Gyeongbuk, decided to support 100,000 masks and 25,000 hand sanitizers worth approximately 400 million KRW to the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions.
Each affiliate of SK Group is preparing separate support measures to help local communities overcome difficulties.
