Professor Juginam of Chosun University Selected as a 'Promising Young Optical Scientist'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Professor Ju Gi-nam of the Department of Optical Engineering, College of Engineering, Chosun University, has been selected as one of the ‘OSK Rising Stars 30,’ promising young optical scientists leading Korea’s optical field, chosen by the Korean Optical Technology Society.
According to Chosun University on the 26th, OSK Rising Stars 30 is a project by the Korean Optical Society (OSK) to commemorate its 30th anniversary by selecting 27 young optical scientists who will lead Korea’s optical industry.
The selected researchers were chosen from regular members of the Korean Optical Society aged 40 or younger, primarily evaluated based on their domestic research achievements and contributions to the promotion of Korea’s optical industry.
Professor Ju is recognized as an expert in the field of optical metrology in academia.
Optical metrology is a new sensor technology that measures products or objects using light, and it is considered a highly promising field for technological development in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Professor Ju is conducting research to develop optical metrology technologies that meet industrial demands while also working on new principle-based measurement technologies. Additionally, he is researching moment imaging technology and three-dimensional measurement technology to lead the next generation of optical metrology.
