Busan Reports 4 Additional COVID-19 Cases, Total Now 55
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jonghyo] Four new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Busan. This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Busan area to 55.
Busan City officially announced at 10 a.m. on the 26th that four additional confirmed cases were identified.
The confirmed cases are number 52 (male born in 1950, Sahagu), 53 (female born in 1992, Sasanggu), 54 (male born in 1993, Dongnaegu), and 55 (female born in 1962, Suyeonggu). Among them, two are related to Oncheon Church, one is related to Daegu, and one is classified as other.
Case number 52 was infected through contact during a meal with case number 40. Case number 53 developed symptoms on the 19th, 2 to 4 days after returning from Daegu, where her family home is located. Case number 54 showed symptoms starting on the 23rd and was identified as a colleague of case number 36. Case number 55 gave lectures at Oncheon Church from the 16th to the 21st, according to the city.
Thus, the total confirmed cases in Busan are 28 related to Oncheon Church, 4 related to Shincheonji, 4 related to case number 2, 7 related to Daegu, 1 related to the Asiad Nursing Hospital, and 11 others, totaling 55.
