Shinhan Bank Closes Seongnam Branch After COVID-19 Confirmed Case
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Shinhan Bank announced on the 23rd that it will close the Seongnam Industrial Complex Financial Center branch in Jungwon-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, after one employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee visited a funeral hall at a hospital in Daegu to pay respects to an acquaintance and later showed symptoms such as fever. The employee went to a screening clinic for testing and was confirmed positive. It was confirmed that the employee had no face-to-face contact with customers during the work period.
Following the government health authorities' manual, Shinhan Bank immediately conducted emergency disinfection at the branch and placed 19 employees and related personnel of the Seongnam Industrial Complex Financial Center who were at risk of infection under self-quarantine for 14 days. Additionally, the branch will be closed for two days from the 24th to the 25th, and temporary operations will begin from the 26th with dispatched staff.
During this period, the Yatap Station branch (retail finance) and Bundang Central Financial Center (corporate finance) will be operated concurrently as substitute branches for the Seongnam Industrial Complex Financial Center.
