Seodaemun-gu Closes Gajwa Health Center and Bukgajwa 1-dong Community Center on 22-23 After COVID-19 Confirmed Case Visit
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) closed two institutions, Gajwa Health Center and Bukgajwa 1-dong Community Service Center (100-55 Susaek-ro), located in the same building, for two days on the 22nd and 23rd, following a confirmed COVID-19 patient’s visit around 1 PM on the 19th.
The Gajwa Health Center is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Bukgajwa 1-dong Community Service Center.
The patient, confirmed positive on the 20th after visiting the Mapo-gu Public Health Center’s screening clinic, is a Shincheonji believer residing in Daegu Metropolitan City. It was confirmed that on the 19th, the patient visited these two institutions in Seodaemun-gu consecutively, conducting credit card sales activities and coming into contact with employees.
The district conducted on-site disinfection, and according to the epidemiological investigation by Seoul City regarding contact with the confirmed patient, employees requiring self-quarantine will be isolated until March 6.
From the 24th, some civil service operations at the Gajwa Health Center and Bukgajwa 1-dong Community Service Center may be somewhat disrupted, but Seodaemun-gu plans to minimize inconvenience to citizens by dispatching staff and guiding the use of nearby community service centers and unmanned civil service issuance machines.
