According to foreign media including AFP, the International Automobile Federation (FIA), which organizes the F1 event, announced on the 12th (local time) that the Chinese Grand Prix promoters decided to postpone the race due to the COVID-19 situation.
The Chinese organizers reportedly requested the postponement from the FIA to ensure the health and safety of the Grand Prix staff, drivers, and fans coming to the local area.
The FIA stated that they will try to hold the Chinese Grand Prix within this year if the situation improves.
