[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Park Sun-mi] In Hubei Province, China, 103 additional deaths due to the novel coronavirus infection were reported in a single day. The nationwide cumulative death toll has surpassed 1,000.
On the 11th, the Hubei Provincial Health Commission (Weiguanwei) announced that as of midnight, 2,097 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus were reported within Hubei Province. Among the 2,097 cases, 1,552 were newly confirmed in Wuhan City alone.
The number of additional deaths in one day was 103, of which 67 occurred in Wuhan City.
The cumulative total of confirmed cases in Hubei Province has reached 31,728. The cumulative death toll is 974, with a mortality rate of 3.07%.
