Gwanak-gu 'One-Stop Service from Surveying to Registration'
[Civil Complaint Visits] Reduced from 3 to 1, [Processing Period] Shortened from 9 to 3 Days...Nation's First! Survey Results Also Accessible via Mobile Email and Text Messages...Collaborative Service Through Multiple Meetings with Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will implement the ‘One-Stop Service from Survey to Registration’ starting in February, a revolutionary improvement in cadastral civil complaint processing procedures for the convenience of residents.
The ‘One-Stop Service from Survey to Registration’ allows for the entire process?from survey application to registration arrangement?to be completed in a single visit when applying for land movement such as subdivision or registration conversion, drastically reducing the processing period from 9 days to 3 days.
Mr. Kim (48), a resident of Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, had to visit LX Corporation (Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation) or the district office to apply for a survey for land subdivision, then revisit after the on-site survey by LX Corporation and the district office’s survey result inspection were completed, and finally visit the district office again to apply for land movement (subdivision) after receiving the survey result map from LX Corporation.
Mr. Kim said, “I needed to subdivide the land as soon as possible to obtain building permits and start construction, but I had to go back and forth between the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation and the district office multiple times, and the processing period took more than 9 days, which was a significant time and economic burden.”
To resolve such inconveniences for residents, the Gwanak-gu Cadastral Division and Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation cooperated to implement the ‘One-Stop Service from Survey to Registration.’
Since October last year, Gwanak-gu and Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation have held several meetings and decided to allow ▲ submission of land movement application forms together with cadastral survey applications at LX Corporation or the district office ▲ simultaneous execution of LX Corporation’s survey and the district office’s survey result inspection ▲ issuance of mobile survey result maps via email and text message services.
In particular, Gwanak-gu has taken the lead in advanced civil service by enabling residents to directly check mobile survey result maps via email or text message at the district office’s cadastral department without the need to visit the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, a first nationwide.
Going forward, Gwanak-gu plans to inform the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Seoul City of the service improvements of the ‘One-Stop Service from Survey to Registration’ and disseminate it to local governments nationwide.

Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “By implementing the ‘One-Stop Service from Survey to Registration,’ which resolves land movement civil complaints such as subdivision in a single visit, we expect residents to save time and economic costs, and we will continue to carry out proactive cadastral administration together with the residents.”
