In particular, on the 6th, over 100 employees from all 20 neighborhoods in Seongbuk-gu simultaneously carried out direct disinfection work. All spaces used by residents, such as community service center civil affairs offices, meeting rooms, autonomous community halls, and lecture rooms, were disinfected.
Additionally, disinfection was performed at 118 locations, including schools recently closed by the school closure order, welfare centers with high foot traffic, and subway stations.
Furthermore, Seongbuk-gu community service centers are not only conducting disinfection work but also engaging in promotional activities to inform residents about preventive measures against the novel coronavirus infection, such as hand washing and cough etiquette that residents can practice.
In response, a district official stated, “We will make every effort to block the spread of virus infection and alleviate residents’ anxiety through continuous and periodic disinfection.”
