'200 Days in Office' Yoon Seok-yeol, Lee Ju's 'Organizational Cohesion' Moves... Heading to Busan After Prosecutors' Chiefs Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, marking his 200th day in office, is taking steps to strengthen organizational cohesion. In preparation for the general elections in April, he will hold meetings with chiefs of district prosecutors' offices nationwide and prosecutors in charge of public investigations, then head to Busan.
Yoon marked his 200th day in office on the 9th. Reflecting the significance of this milestone, he is handling several important schedules. First, on the 10th, he will preside over a meeting at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office to prepare for election-related investigations. According to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, on the 10th, chiefs of 18 district prosecutors' offices nationwide and heads of public investigation departments from 59 offices will gather with Prosecutor General Yoon to establish principles and directions for election investigations. This is the first time since Yoon took office that all district chiefs have gathered in one place.
Through this meeting, Prosecutor General Yoon will also reunite with members of the 'Yoon Seok-yeol faction' who had been scattered across the provinces. Among Yoon's close aides, key figures such as Park Chan-ho, Chief of Jeju District Prosecutors' Office (former head of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office Public Investigation Department), and Lee Doo-bong, Chief of Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office (former head of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office Scientific Investigation Department), will visit the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.
After the meeting, Prosecutor General Yoon will visit local prosecutors' offices nationwide to encourage them, starting with Busan. On the 13th, he plans to visit the Busan High Prosecutors' Office and Busan District Prosecutors' Office. Following Busan, he intends to visit Gwangju, Daegu, and Daejeon sequentially, but specific schedules for locations other than Busan have not yet been set.

In Busan, he will meet Yang Bu-nam, Chief Prosecutor of Busan High Prosecutors' Office; Kwon Soon-beom, Chief Prosecutor of Busan District Prosecutors' Office; and Han Dong-hoon, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Busan High Prosecutors' Office. The reunion with Deputy Chief Prosecutor Han is particularly notable. Han served as head of the Anti-Corruption and Strong Crime Department at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, assisting Prosecutor General Yoon in leading investigations into major cases. These included the corruption case involving former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk's family and the investigation into allegations of suspension of inspection against former Busan Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Yoo Jae-soo. However, in the high-level prosecution personnel reshuffle last January, Han was effectively demoted to Busan.
