China's New Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 700
[Asia Economy International Bureau Reporter] The cumulative death toll from the novel coronavirus in China has surpassed 700. The number of confirmed cases is expected to approach 34,000.
According to China Central Television on the 8th, Hubei Province reported 2,841 new confirmed cases and 81 new deaths from the novel coronavirus on the 7th alone. In Wuhan, the new confirmed cases and deaths were 1,985 and 67, respectively.
As of the 7th, the total cumulative confirmed cases in Hubei Province reached 24,953, with 699 deaths. Among them, 4,188 are in critical condition and 1,007 are in severe condition.

Since the National Health Commission (NHC) announced at midnight the previous day that the total confirmed cases in China were 31,116 and deaths were 636, the cumulative death toll is estimated to have exceeded 700, and confirmed cases are also estimated to have reached 34,000.
