From night, snow is expected to fall gradually, mainly in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province and the southern Yeongseo region of Gangwon Province.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the Korean Peninsula will be on the edge of a high-pressure system located near the Shandong Peninsula in China, and will be affected by a weak trough approaching from the northwest.
Morning temperatures in the central inland and northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang Province will drop below minus 12 degrees Celsius in some regions. The cold that continues from the morning will ease as temperatures rise from midday, returning to average levels, and the cold wave advisory is expected to be lifted.
In areas under dry weather advisories such as Seoul, parts of Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, Chungbuk, Gyeongsang, and eastern Jeonnam, the air is dry, so fire prevention measures against wildfires and other fires are necessary.
