Daegu: All 14 Contacts of the 17th COVID-19 Patient Test Negative

According to Daegu City on the 6th, 14 people including 5 family members and 2 relatives who had contact with the 17th patient on the 24th and 25th of last month, 2 taxi drivers, 4 convenience store employees, and 1 gas station employee tested negative. Daegu City stated that these individuals are currently under self-quarantine and are being checked more than twice a day, but no abnormal symptoms have been observed.
A city official said, "The 17th patient had cold symptoms and was wearing a mask throughout the entire travel process during the visit to Daegu."
The 17th patient took the KTX from Seoul Station on the 24th of last month and arrived at Dongdaegu Station at around 2:24 p.m., then took a taxi to his parents' house in Suseong-gu. The next day, on the 25th, he visited his in-laws' house in Buk-gu by family car, then took a taxi back to Dongdaegu Station and returned to Seoul on the SRT train at 9:26 p.m.
The city disinfected the Dongdaegu Station platform and customer routes visited by the 17th patient, as well as the nursing room and waiting area, and installed quarantine mats. They also completed disinfection of the two taxis used by the patient.
