TaylorMade Truss Putter "Unique Design"
"Geometric design."
This is TaylorMade's 'Truss' putter line. The unique triangular hosel structure immediately catches the eye. It was inspired by the analysis of 40,000 putting data points from amateur golfers of various skill levels, which showed a tendency for more toe-side strikes. The principle is that the two contact points provide stability across the entire face, maximizing the moment of inertia (MOI). It is explained that "widening the contact area of the top line increases consistency during the impact process."

There are four models: TB1, TB2 (pictured), TM1, and TM2. The TB1 is most similar to a traditional blade putter. The shaft is positioned on the heel side, and 8g of weight is added to the toe to balance the truss hosel. On the other hand, the TB2 features a centrally connected hosel shaft, focusing on stability. The TM1 is a mallet with the shaft mounted on the heel side, while the TM2 has the shaft mounted centrally. The new cobalt blue roll insert delivers a soft feel and sound at impact.
