Consulting Support Such as 'Village Education' and 'Accounting Education' Provided by Geumcheon-gu Village Community Support Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is conducting a "Village Community Project Proposal" contest until the 20th to support the process of residents solving village problems on their own and forming community networks.
The contest covers three areas: neighbor-making, community growth, and alleyway creation support, with 500,000 to 5 million KRW provided per community, totaling 50 million KRW in support.
The "Neighbor-Making Support Project" targets new resident groups of three or more people living or working in the same neighborhood, with support ranging from 500,000 to 1 million KRW per group.
The "Community Growth Support Project" is for resident groups or organizations of three or more people living or working in Geumcheon-gu with prior experience in village community projects, providing 1 million to 3 million KRW per group.
The "Alleyway Creation Support Project" targets resident groups or organizations of three or more people aiming to carry out community activities at the alley level, offering 2.5 million to 5 million KRW per group.
Resident groups wishing to participate can apply online by 6 p.m. on the 20th through the Seoul Village Community Comprehensive Support Center (hereafter Seomajong) website (http://www.seoulmaeul.org/).
After the application deadline, a review will be conducted, and the final selection results will be announced on the Seomajong website on February 27.
The selected resident groups will sign an agreement with the Geumcheon-gu Village Community Support Center in March and carry out their projects until November 15 this year. The Village Community Support Center will provide on-site "village education," "accounting education," and "settlement consulting" to ensure smooth project progress.
The district originally planned to hold a project briefing session at 2 p.m. on the 12th but canceled the schedule considering concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus infection. Instead, they plan to do their best to guide the project contents through one-on-one pre-consultations with applicants.
Through last year's village community contest experience, the Geumcheon-gu village community "Kkumbit Geurim" grew and won the Seoul Community Award at the "Seoul Village Week Commemorative Event." The "Seoul Community Award" is established by Seoul City to discover organizations that have strived to realize village communities through various village activities, share achievements and cases, and encourage activities.
