Democratic Party Appoints Choi Un-yeol as Central Election Commission Chairperson

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] The Democratic Party of Korea has decided to appoint Representative Choi Un-yeol (proportional representation) as the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission to oversee the party's primary elections for the April 15 general election.
Lee Jae-jung, the Democratic Party spokesperson, announced through a written briefing on the 5th that the Supreme Council had resolved this matter.
The Election Commission will be composed of nine members, including Representative Choi.
With Representative Choi's appointment as Chairperson, his decision not to run has also been officially confirmed.
