[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in said at the Blue House senior secretaries and aides meeting on the afternoon of the 3rd, "China is our largest country for human exchange as well as our largest trading partner," adding, "China's difficulties directly translate into our difficulties."
President Moon emphasized, "We must join forces to overcome the current emergency situation together, and as neighboring countries, we should not hesitate to provide support and cooperation," and added, "When we do not ignore the suffering of our neighbors but share and stand in solidarity, we become true neighbors and can move forward together into the future."
President Moon explained, "On the other hand, to protect our citizens, we cannot help but strengthen and strictly control immigration management," and said, "Countries around the world are also implementing various levels of entry restrictions or enhanced immigration measures to prevent the inflow and spread of infectious diseases."
President Moon stated, "Temporary entry restrictions on foreigners who have stayed in or visited Hubei Province and the provisional suspension of visa-free entry to Jeju are unavoidable measures to protect the safety of our citizens," and urged, "I hope for active cooperation to thoroughly maintain self-quarantine measures for citizens who have visited Hubei Province or had contact with confirmed cases."
