Secured a Total of 770 Million Won in Fiscal Operating Funds for 2019
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Hyeong-seok] Mokpo City announced on the 31st that it was selected as the best institution in the Jeollanam-do-led evaluation and an excellent institution in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety-led evaluation in the '2019 Second Half Fiscal Execution Evaluation,' receiving a special adjustment grant of 200 million KRW and a special subsidy of 200 million KRW as prize money.
Along with this, the city was selected as an excellent institution in all areas of fiscal management evaluation over the past year, including fiscal expansion and rapid execution in the first half of 2019, securing a total prize money of 770 million KRW.
Since the launch of the 7th term of the elected mayor, the city recorded better figures than similar local governments in key areas such as rapid supplementary budget formulation in response to government policies as part of measures to overcome employment crisis areas and expansion of job project budgets, which was evaluated to have enhanced regional economic revitalization and fiscal management efficiency.
Fiscal execution focused on core projects such as job creation to contribute to the early recovery of the stagnant livelihood economy and economic revitalization, emphasizing job creation and stabilization of ordinary citizens' lives, managing the entire fiscal process from budget formulation to execution with a focus.
