CJ CheilJedang Launches Hearty 'Bibigo Gamjatang' with Boneless Meat Only
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 31st that it has launched 'Bibigo Gamjatang,' a bone-free pork backbone stew containing only lean meat, making it safe and enjoyable for young children.
The new product is designed to allow consumers to easily enjoy restaurant-quality Gamjatang at home. For cooking convenience and easy cleanup, it contains tender boneless shank meat. The broth, made by directly simmering pork bones, is enriched with perilla leaves and perilla seed powder to enhance its deep flavor. Additionally, natural spices such as ginger are used to eliminate the unique off-flavors and gaminess of the meat while enhancing umami for a richer taste.
CJ CheilJedang planned this product so that a menu typically difficult to prepare and usually enjoyed at restaurants can be enjoyed at home. This is because the demand for conveniently enjoying home-style meals is gradually expanding to include restaurant dishes. To achieve this, CJ CheilJedang utilized its differentiated home meal replacement (HMR) research and development (R&D) expertise, including raw material control technology, to create Bibigo Gamjatang, which is both convenient and offers restaurant-level taste quality.
