Gwangju Seo-gu 'Lifelong Learning Support Program Support Project' Contest Announcement
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Seo Daeseok) announced on the 30th that it will hold a public contest for the ‘2020 Lifelong Learning Program Support Project’ targeting lifelong education institutions, organizations, and clubs until the 11th of next month.
This contest was prepared to provide residents with various learning opportunities and to foster an open lifelong learning culture by supporting excellent programs.
It is also promoted to create lifelong learning opportunities for marginalized groups such as the disabled and multicultural families and to foster a lifelong learning culture.
The district plans to support a total of 72 million KRW in four areas: lifelong education humanities activation projects, support projects for programs for the disabled, multicultural women foreign language instructor training projects, and lifelong learning club support projects.
Eligibility for application includes institutions or organizations located in Seo-gu as of the announcement date or those conducting their main business activities in Seo-gu.
Organizations wishing to participate can prepare the subsidy application form, project plan, and organization introduction posted on the Seo-gu Office website’s notices and announcements section or the Seo-gu Lifelong Learning Center website and submit them in person to the Seo-gu Office Education Support Division.
Seo-gu will review the project content and the organization’s project execution capability, and after deliberation by the Lifelong Education Council, projects will be selected by category.
