Busan Bank Provides One-Stop Medical Service on Some Bank App
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] BNK Busan Bank will provide one-stop medical services such as hospital appointment booking and medical bill payment through its mobile financial platform, the Sum Bank application (app).
On the 29th, Busan Bank announced that it signed a business agreement for the ‘Establishment of a Medical-Financial Convergence Service Platform’ with Busan National University Hospital and Lemon Healthcare, a medical platform specialized startup, at a meeting room in Busan National University Hospital.
Lemon Healthcare operates the M-Care (smart healthcare platform) service in about 50 medium to large general hospitals in Korea, including Seoul National University Hospital, Severance Hospital, and Busan National University Hospital.
Through this agreement, Busan National University Hospital plans to promote medical services linked to the Sum Bank app to patients, and Lemon Healthcare will provide technical support for the stable operation of the linked services between the Sum Bank app and the Busan National University Hospital mobile app.
Along with the agreement, Busan Bank officially launched the ‘SomePass Medical Service,’ which allows users to access various medical services in a one-stop manner. Starting from the 30th, anyone can use the Sum Bank app to make appointments at Busan National University Hospital, check medical records and test results in real time, and pay medical bills.
Going forward, Busan Bank plans to ▲launch new lifestyle and financial services connecting finance and healthcare ▲expand the scope of use by building a network with major hospitals nationwide ▲provide various medical-financial convergence services such as medical content utilizing blockchain technology.
