Korea Electric Power Technology Selected as an Excellent Institution in Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power announced that it was selected as an 'Excellent Institution in Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation' in the 2019 Public Institution Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
The Public Institution Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation is a system designed to evaluate and support anti-corruption efforts autonomously pursued by public institutions to enhance the integrity level in the public sector. The Commission has been conducting this evaluation annually since 2002.
This evaluation was conducted on a total of 270 public institutions, assessing five areas: ▲establishment of anti-corruption promotion plans ▲creation of an integrity ecosystem ▲securing effectiveness of corruption control ▲spread of achievements in integrity administration and management ▲operation of anti-corruption systems, through both qualitative and quantitative assessments.
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power has played a leading role in promoting anti-corruption and integrity policies and development plans by holding integrity policy forums together with five institutions in the Gyeongbuk Integrity Cluster and eight institutions in the Ulsan Integrity Cluster. It has taken a proactive role in facilitating exchanges across regional clusters beyond local limitations.
In particular, as part of spreading a culture of integrity in the private sector, programs such as the ‘Integrity Coexistence Practice Competition’ and the ‘Coexistence Cooperation Academy’ conducted for partner companies were selected by the Commission as ‘Excellent Cases of Integrity Culture Spread Activities in 2019.’
Since being included in the anti-corruption policy evaluation target institutions in 2014, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power has continuously pursued anti-corruption and integrity policies, achieving ‘Excellent’ grades or higher for three consecutive years.
