Kim Ik-hwan, spokesperson for the New Conservative Party, stated on the 28th, "The ruling party and government, who raised their voices during the 'MERS' crisis, are now preoccupied with 'appeasing China,' going beyond the 'double standards for public safety' by requesting restraint in criticizing the government."
Spokesperson Kim criticized, "The government, worried about diplomatic friction with China, asks not to call it 'Wuhan pneumonia,' the ruling party floor leader calls China a 'precious friend,' and they bow their heads repeatedly, acting like 'spokespersons for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.' If they cannot speak out even on issues concerning the lives and safety of the people and instead watch China's reactions, they lack the basic qualifications to govern."

He pointed out, "Since China has taken strong measures to control Wuhan to prevent the spread of Wuhan pneumonia, our government should also actively consider all measures, including a temporary entry ban on Chinese nationals, for the safety of our people. This is not a situation where we can leisurely deliberate by watching China's reactions or the responses of neighboring countries."
