[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Choi Kyung-hwan, leader of the Alternative New Party, on the 28th called on the Bareunmirae Party and the Democratic Peace Party to "form a tripartite consultative body to discuss the unification of centrist reform forces."
At the joint meeting of supreme council members and lawmakers held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building that day, Choi said, "There is no time to hesitate," and proposed, "I suggest activating the consultative body within this week."

Choi added, "The demand from Honam is to hasten the unification of the third force to continue the political legacy of Kim Dae-jung and to establish Honam-led politics," and said, "In response to this demand, I urge political leaders to make a swift decision so that all forces agreeing with the spirit of Kim Dae-jung can unify into the third force."
