Considering the recent upward trend in transactions, it is expected to easily exceed $9,000. The cheapest tickets currently traded are also priced at $4,644.
According to another ticket resale price survey company, TicketIQ, the average resale price for this year's Super Bowl tickets is $8,100, a sharp increase of about 80% from last year's $4,972.
The overall assessment is that this year's Super Bowl ticket prices are trading unusually high. During the Forty-Niners' Super Bowl game in 2013, the resale price was only $2,351.
The strong game performance has increased demand for viewing, which has influenced the prices. In fact, even as resale prices rise, transactions are actively taking place. This year, especially, supply has decreased despite increased demand. Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, where the game is held, has fewer seats compared to other stadiums. Naturally, this structure leads to higher prices. Miami's mild weather is also considered a factor attracting spectators.
Fans of the Chiefs, who have reached the Super Bowl for the first time since 1970, are eager to purchase tickets.
