'Strawberry Even...' Invited to the Competition Section of the Fribourg Film Festival
The film Beasts Clawing at Straws has received consecutive invitations from international film festivals. According to the distributor Megabox JoongAng Plus M on the 23rd, the film was invited to the feature competition section of the 34th Fribourg International Film Festival, which opens on March 20 in Fribourg, Switzerland. The festival described the film as "a work like a novel unfolding a spiral story."
The Fribourg Film Festival, along with the Locarno Film Festival, is one of Switzerland's representative film events. Director Lee Su-jin's Han Gong-ju in 2014 and Director Lee Chang-dong's Poetry in 2011 were both invited and won the grand prize. Beasts Clawing at Straws was also invited to the Tiger Competition section at the 48th International Film Festival Rotterdam held on the 22nd. The domestic release date is April 12.
