Fire at Newly Built Apartment Before Move-In... 2 People Inhale Smoke
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] At around 10:24 a.m. on the 20th, a fire of unknown origin broke out in the indoor swimming pool on the first floor of a newly constructed apartment complex in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The fire burned the ceiling of the swimming pool and was fully extinguished at around 12:17 p.m., about 1 hour and 40 minutes later. Two employees in the apartment's disaster prevention office inhaled smoke and were transported to a nearby hospital, but fortunately, their lives are not in danger.

The apartment where the fire occurred is a 23-story building scheduled for occupancy next month. Fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
