Gwangyang City Provides Gwangyang Love Gift Certificates Worth 100,000 KRW for Senior Drivers Returning Licenses
Until the end of November for elderly drivers aged 65 and over
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gwangyang City in Jeonnam announced on the 17th that it will implement the ‘Driver’s License Voluntary Surrender Incentive Support Project’ targeting elderly drivers in the region.
The eligible participants are elderly drivers aged 65 or older (born on or before December 31, 1955) who are registered residents of Gwangyang City and have surrendered their driver’s licenses at the police station’s civil service office or the Gwangyang Driver’s License Examination Office, resulting in license cancellation. Each participant will receive a Gwangyang Love Gift Certificate worth 100,000 KRW, provided once per person.
Applications can be submitted at the Gwangyang City Transportation Department or the town and township offices. Applicants must submit a driver’s license disposition (cancellation) decision notice issued by the police station.
The application period is until November 30. Every quarter, 200 elderly applicants will be prioritized and selected, with the list published on the Gwangyang City website and individual notifications sent.
