Busan Bank Launches ‘BNK Fintech Lab 1st Cohort’
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] BNK Busan Bank announced on the 17th that it held the launch ceremony for the first cohort of ‘BNK Fintech Lab,’ a program specialized in nurturing local fintech startups.
The companies selected for the first cohort are GMC LABS, UPCHAIN, Chainus (blockchain), Insurobo (insurance), The Jaemu Consulting (asset management), Bareum (financial data), Y Polaris (unmanned store payment), AI Platform (iris authentication), Janda (cloud payment), and Agile Soda (financial decision-making), totaling 10 companies.
Located at WeWork BIFC in Munhyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan, BNK Fintech Lab is jointly operated by Busan Bank, Busan City, and the global accelerator WeWork Labs as part of Busan City’s U-Space project.

The startups selected through screening will move into BNK Fintech Lab with support from Busan Bank and Busan City, receiving various accelerating services such as professional mentoring, networking events, and programs necessary for business expansion and global advancement.
