Yeonggwang-gun Promotes 'Roof Slate Disposal Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 17th that it will promote a slate disposal project by investing 700 million KRW to support the removal of roof slate from 180 houses, roof improvement for 20 vulnerable households, and removal of roof slate from 33 non-residential buildings.
The slate disposal project has been carried out annually since 2011, and so far, the roof slate of 1,379 houses has been removed. This year, support will be provided up to a maximum of 3.44 million KRW per household, with applications accepted from the 16th of this month until the 28th of next month.
The support targets are slates on buildings registered as houses in the building register. In the case of unauthorized buildings, support is only available for houses where the building has been completely demolished. Starting this year, roof slate removal for 33 non-residential buildings (such as warehouses under 50㎡) will also be supported.
