Gwangju Nam-gu 'Mental Health and Addiction' Consigned Institution Performance Evaluation Conducted
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 17th that it will conduct a performance evaluation of the Nam-gu Mental Health Welfare Center and the Integrated Addiction Management Support Center, which carry out mental health and addiction-related tasks, from the 20th to the 23rd.
The evaluation scope covers various projects carried out by the two centers last year, and the evaluation will be conducted by first performing a written evaluation followed immediately by an on-site evaluation.
Nam-gu subdivided the evaluation areas into three fields for a precise performance evaluation: administrative area, client area, and project area.
First, in the administrative area, they will examine staff turnover rate and the rate of securing professional personnel, employee welfare and grievance handling, appropriateness of the operation committee management, and transparency of accounting management.
The client area evaluation criteria include the establishment of an environment for providing appropriate services to center users, as well as evaluation of user rights protection and information provision.
In the project area, the focus will be on screening and treatment linkage for high-risk groups of suicide and addiction, appropriateness of case management systems, provision of comprehensive services, and building networks with the local community.
Currently, mental health tasks are being carried out by the National Naju Hospital, and addiction-related tasks are handled by Gwangju Jeil Hospital. The private consignment period for these two institutions is three years.
Nam-gu plans to notify each institution of the evaluation results by early next month after conducting the performance evaluation of the two centers.
