View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Ki-dong] Lee Han-cheol, chairman of the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, announced on the 17th that he donated 200 bags (10 kg each) of eco-friendly rice (worth 6 million KRW) to the Mokpo Welfare Foundation at 11 a.m. on the 16th to support underprivileged facilities and neighbors in need in celebration of Seol, our traditional major holiday.
The donation ceremony featured eco-friendly rice harvested directly from Taewon Farm, operated by Chairman Lee Han-cheol of the Mokpo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who contributed the entire amount from his personal funds with the purpose of promoting community development and practicing warm sharing and volunteerism.
Chairman Lee said, “Although the local economy is still struggling to recover from the downturn, I am pleased to have the opportunity to provide some help to the relatively marginalized low-income vulnerable groups during Seol. Moving forward, I will continue to take the lead in practicing ongoing sharing to create a warm and friendly local community.”
