Support of 100,000 KRW Birth Celebration Fund Per Person for Birth Reports Filed by December 31 This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) Haengdang 2-dong (Dongjang Song Jae-hoon) has joined hands with Haengdang Saemaeul Geumgo (Chairman Kim Il-tae) to overcome the low birthrate issue together with the local community.
On the 10th, the district signed a 'Birth Encouragement Agreement' with Haengdang Saemaeul Geumgo to provide birth celebration funds to encourage childbirth in the area. Haengdang Saemaeul Geumgo will support 100,000 KRW per newborn upon opening a birth celebration bankbook, and Haengdang 2-dong will provide information such as guidance on opening the bankbook to residents visiting for birth registration.
The support targets newborns registered as residents of Haengdang 2-dong, from birth registrations dated January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020, covering one year. The bankbook must be a deposit or savings account in the child's name; checking accounts are not eligible. Required documents include a resident registration certificate, child's basic certificate (detailed), parents' ID cards, and seals.
Kim Il-tae, Chairman of Haengdang Saemaeul Geumgo, said, "As a financial institution for ordinary citizens, Saemaeul Geumgo is actively participating in the birth encouragement fund support project as part of its pro-citizen policy for community return."
