Changwon National University Hosts Smart Factory Experience Program Inviting Indonesia's Pasundan University
Operation of Smart Factory Global Experience Program
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Changwon National University (President Lee Ho-young) hosted a smart factory experience program from the 14th for 3 nights and 4 days, inviting 3 professors and 22 students from the Department of Industrial Engineering at its sister university, Pasundan University in Indonesia.
In this program, along with discussions on student and professor exchange programs and support for the smart factory experience program, participants had the opportunity to visit excellent companies that have established smart factories in Changwon and learn advanced technologies.
The event was organized by the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Changwon National University and supported by the LINC+ Project Group, the International Exchange Center, and the Changwon Industrial Complex Manufacturing Innovation Infrastructure Project Group.
The three invited professors from Pasundan University in Indonesia each gave special lectures related to the current status and development prospects of Indonesia's industry. Students also had time to create keychains using 3D printing and to experience and tour the smart factory testbed.
On the 16th, they visited excellent companies in Gyeongnam Province that have established smart factories, including Daehointi Co., Ltd., Daegun Tech Co., Ltd., and Widin Co., Ltd., toured the product production sites, and received explanations about smart factory construction.

Professor Hwang Min-tae of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Changwon National University explained, "This program is significant in introducing Korea's smart factory construction technologies based on the Fourth Industrial Revolution to Indonesian professors and students, thereby establishing the technological status of Changwon National University and Changwon City, and contributing to the industrial development of developing countries."
