The donation ceremony held at the Sarangui Yeolmae Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul was attended by Vice President Seung-il Kim (Head of Kolon CSR Office), Yeon-soon Kim, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, and Joo-hyun Kang, Head of Social Contribution Headquarters of the Community Chest of Korea.
Kolon designated part of the donation to the 'Urban Playground Improvement Project' in collaboration with the international relief and development NGO 'Save the Children'.
This project is part of the 'Protect the Playground' campaign, which renovates old and dangerous playgrounds by reflecting the opinions of local children and residents.
Since 2016, Kolon has fully supported the improvement project costs for one site each year. So far, newly established playgrounds such as 'Dalnim Children's Park' in Gangdong-gu, 'Saekdong Children's Park' in Gangbuk-gu, 'Madeul Sports Park Green Forest Playground' in Nowon-gu, and 'Daun Children's Park' in Gangseo-gu have been loved by children and local residents.
Vice President Seung-il Kim said, "Kolon will continue to practice sharing for neighbors in need and fulfill its social responsibilities and roles."
Earlier, in 2012, Kolon launched the 'Kolon Volunteer Corps' with the slogan 'Stepping Stone Toward Dreams, Dream Partners,' expressing its commitment to becoming a partner in making children's dreams come true through various social contribution activities.
