According to the county, the U-11 team participated in the '1st Mancheonha Cup National Youth Club Soccer Tournament' held in Danyang-gun, Chungbuk Province, from the 10th to the 14th for five days and won first place.
The 'Mancheonha Cup National Youth Club Soccer Tournament' is hosted by the Korea Youth Soccer Club Federation and sponsored by Danyang-gun, Danyang-gun Sports Council, and Stars Sports Co., Ltd. It is divided into five divisions: U-8, U-9, U-10, U-11, and U-12, consisting of 24 teams of 2nd to 3rd graders and 42 teams of 4th to 6th graders from elementary schools, with about 1,600 players participating nationwide.
Muan FC, supported by the Muan-gun Football Association (President Ryu Dae-ho), started its first training in Muan-gun, a soccer barren area, in October last year, and as a newly established team holding its inauguration ceremony in February, the U-11 division's victory in this tournament is an incredible achievement accomplished in three months.
Kim Sung-hyun, the general director of Muan FC, said, "Although the training period was short, only three months, the passion and skills of our Muan FC children were the best in the nation," and added, "Although the youth soccer team started later than other regions, this miracle was made possible by the active efforts of the parent operating committee chairperson (Chairperson Han Hyang-mi) and the help of the parents."
